White-Tailed Eagle’s Apocalypse

Viktor (12) is worried about the world situation – if we continue heading in this direction,

we will destroy ourselves and Mother Nature will take over again. Two years ago he started going to the Bosonogi /Barefoot/ Survival School. Once a month they go on excursions in beautiful countryside of Istria region where they explore how to survive in the wild with only a few basic things as tools. Victor and a few of his friends realized that we were facing a global crisis in terms of man’s treatment of nature and decided to take a more serious approach in preparing for the end of the world, which is nearing, according to him. He spends his weekends building a hut (shelter) with his friends next to his Grandma’s house, and he also takes other measures: hiding cans of food (with an expiration date in three years or more) under his bed; sleeping with a knife, which he keeps, of course, in a holster, and he also came up with a forest name for himself – White-Tailed Eagle. His greatest challenge is to prepare for the coming apocalypse in the best possible way. This summer he will take the survival instructor exam. This will be his greatest challenge so far and if he is successful he will become the youngest survival instructor in Croatia.
